Our Mission
To provide quality second-hand merchandise at a reasonable cost to the community. We intend to furnish a Christian atmosphere that projects mercy and kindness to all of those involved. We believe by the grace of God our mission will be accomplished and our community will enjoy the benefits.
Who Are We?
We are a faith-based ministry assisting those in need with clothing, food, training, and spiritual guidance. Churches, schools, social service agencies, and others in the greater Defiance community can refer those with needs to our thrift store along with recommendation on letterhead.
What Do We Do?
We supply clothing, toys, small appliances, and miscellaneous items to those referred to us by churches, Ravens, social service agencies, schools , and others. Currently, we have limited access to food. We will acknowledge your organization as the donor.
Where Do We Receive Our Funding?
We receive no government funding. Three local families provided funding for start up. Vehicles, trailers, retail space, and other needs are met through these donations. Clothing and various items are sold to the general public at The Hope Chest Thrift Store to help defer operation costs.
